Oil painting by Mauro Conti, painter and graphic artist, born in 1937 in Sesto Fiorentino, where he lives and works.
It is his first exhibition in 1959, and was followed by solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad.
His research is focused on recurring cycles: the victims of the Holocaust, the poets of the twentieth century, the horses of the Palio di Siena, the interpreters of the Jazz, which considers the accounts most original music of the twentieth century. This series of works is an "act of love" by Conti to a genre of music and to musicians (known and unknown) that for nearly a century are fighting so that they will not be considered prejudiced, an inferior art.
In this painting entitled "Palazzi Via Manin" and dates back to 1971, Conti is a city street, a residential area of ​​Sesto Fiorentino, where the human presence, however, is non-existent. The leaden sky and the tree without leaves, reminiscent of a winter landscape a bit 'melancholic, while both the tall buildings that are enlivened by light pole nuances on.
In good state of preservation.
